Ron Warhurst is currently the Cross Country Coach at the University of Michigan, earning seven Big Ten Championships. In his previous job, he was a Marine walking “Point” in Vietnam. After that, he was part of a six-man team that would enter enemy villages in the middle of the night and capture the local VC leaders. He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal and two Purple Hearts.
Host Gary Lillie will also be talking with David Miller, COO of Con-way Freight, an international freight transportation company with 28,000 employees. Mr. Miller will describe the launch of a unique public-private partnership with the Army Reserves that will allow both organizations to recruit, train and employ individuals interested in both serving the nation and pursuing a career in the commercial freight transportation industry.
